IDM Assen: Avalon Biddle takes Podium and Fraser Rogers makes the difference.

During the past few weeks, the Agro On - Benjan - Kawasaki team did not stop and test for 2 days at Magny Cours and 1 day at Lausitzring, IDM Assen was the finisher to be ready for the European Superstock 1000 championship and World Supersport 300 coming weekend at Lausitzring. Glenn Scott and Toni Finsterbusch were not present due to other commitments last weekend and for our Speedy Kiwi Avalon Biddle IDM Assen was here mid-season test!

Avalon picked up the thread again after her summer break in New Zealand, the first meters were still awaiting, soon she set her limits and took a 6th place in the race1. The 2nd race on Sunday she raced a personal PR again and raced to a well deserved 3rd place. A beautiful performance for Avalon and the Sourz Foods - Benjan Racing Team.

Fraser Rogers, BSB SST1000 rider, and already has a lot of experience on the Kawasaki ZX10RR was invited by the team to give his vision about the fast Ninja ZX10RR and his results spoke for themselves. We approached him with a full enthusiasm, and together with his crew he showed the real potential of the Kawasaki. Although he was not satisfied afterwards, which was also logical after, after the big crash, it left him with a very good impression and proved that there is a lot of potential in Benjan Kawasaki!

Rogers used the free practises on Friday to match the bike to his liking and to search the good set-up, on Saturday he was focused on first two row  to qualify and, despite the tough weather conditions, a wet track that quickly dried up Fraser decided to come in after 2 laps and switched to dry weather tyres. Fully convinced of his ability, he picked up a beautiful 5th starting position.

The race was exciting and Fraser was few laps in 3rd, 4th place, but sought rest in the group from P3 to P8, a train behind the BMW riders on P1 and P2. With sight on podium, Fraser was recklessly taken out by the bike by Schnock - Kawasaki rider Glockner. Unfortunately for Fraser it was a matter of Glockner's involvement, a realistic podium was no longer possible. De Boer fretired and Rogers was significantly faster than other riders in the group and waited for another 6 laps to finish his chances. A bitter disappointment both for the team and Fraser Rogers himself, both team and rider had earned this success. His crew worked very hard to get the bike ready for the 2nd race, but the 90min between the races was unfortunately too short to send him safe back on track.

But we as a team and also Fraser take the positives and see a great potential that indicates that the Benjan Kawasaki ZX10RR and Fraser Rogers are a match with much potential.

Wayne Tessels once again had a disappointing weekend.

Fraser Rogers:

"I am absolutely glad that I received this invitation and I would like to thank the Benjan team as a whole and especially Leroy, Stefan and James-Ktech Suspension for their hard work. The result does not look good on paperer but I have enjoyed incredibly until Glockner finishes me completely, this ZX10RR has a lot of potential and I feel very familiar. With the usual slick tyres in the IDM you definitely 1sec faster, 2 podiums were certainly not unrealistic. My thanks are great to the Benjan team!

Avalon Biddle:

"I am very pleased with the progress made and that I have been able to tighten my lap times. I feel good and fighting fort his positions makes me stronger, 3rd place in the 2nd race was great and I want to thank my whole team and crew. I'm going for the full 100% to turn this motivation into a good weekend at the Lausitzring upcoming weekend.
